It's all about the niche!

A tiny awkward bathroom is now a fresh open space to enjoy.
Taking out the bath and installing a seamless shower increased the floor space and the view of the whole room. A wall-hung toilet saves those precious inches.
A hidden tiled drain and elongated niche also broaden the feeling of space. Tiling the back of the niche in "wow" tile gives the room a strong focal point.

Sleek & Simple

To create more efficient use of space, this long, narrow ensuite needed to be opened up. Using bold materials and colours, created a strong simple space, neither masculine nor feminine. The ensuite has strong colour and texture contrasts and very unique electrical fixtures for the extra "Wow".

Neutral Textures

A master bathroom was created from an unused storage area. We wanted to visually enlarge the room and keep the area open; installing a glass shower " box" does just that. Combining tile textures and finishes creates a neutral palette that is modern, fresh, and interesting.

Our goal was to modernize the washroom and create a peaceful space that felt light and airy. Oversized slab tiles create a seamless backdrop and create the calming effect as if by the water. A glass shower box lets the eye continue without barriers. Stainless steel niches keep things organised in both the shower and tub area. Walnut hooks, tub tray and accessories add warmth and a natural element.

Mixed Medium Kitchen

The goal for this kitchen was to create a more open feeling and to make the kitchen function better. By re-locating all the appliances, and creating an island we tripled the countertop area and added seating. The new flow of this kitchen is very inviting and the new layout is far more conducive to a family kitchen. 

Nimbus Grey and Gold Kitchen

This once tiny, dark cramped kitchen, is now a bright, airy, spacious open concept kitchen. A small pass-way was opened up to allow for this high functioning, galley style kitchen complete with large island bridging the dining room. the structural beams were clad in a natural wood to add texture and interest. The soft grey cabinets are accented with brushed gold, creating and elegant, serene feeling.


Industrial Urban Apartment Transformation

An extremely neglected second-floor apartment, in an exclusive Toronto neighbourhood, was completely transformed into a modern industrial style pad.
The original industrial features are exposed and celebrated. Vintage meets modern! LED pot lights were added, and vintage light fixtures are the gems of the rooms. The nondescript industrial front door gives no hint to the jewel that awaits behind.

Basement Renovation: Laundry&Bathroom

Once a cluttered unfinished space, this renovated laundry room is both practical and fun. Keeping some of the home's 70's features, like colourful glass panels and a herringbone wooden wall, make for a very unique space. Laundry baskets are discreetly hidden away in pull-out drawers, and collapsible drying racks keep the space open and uncluttered.

The "Baby Loo" a main floor washroom,

A compact powder room was added to the main floor of a downtown semi. 
Small doesn't have to be boring ! A bold wallpaper encircles the room, and dark trim to blend into the print, keeps it looking clean. Brass accents pop the slight shimmer in the wallpaper. To gain a few more inches of precious space, the vanity was recessed into the wall. This gave us the opportunity to tile a backsplash alcove and hang the mirror.

A unique mixture of visual textures. The original brick wall was transformed by a simple coat of metallic paint; The kick of "glamour" in this boys basement bathroom.Original wooden doors were oiled to restore their lustre, and add warmth  to the room. A concrete style tile keeps the rooms "industrial " feel, as do the faux vintage walls.

Lime Laundry Room With Dog Wash Station

My client, an avid gardener with 2 dogs, wanted not only a new laundry room , but also a "mud room" to wash off after long walks in the ravine. With a polished concrete floor, I wanted to add contrast with Ikea high gloss white cabinets, and a pop of colour- Ceasarstone "lime" countertops. A poured concrete basin creates the perfect "washing station" for muddy boots and paws, while the rest of the space is sleek, modern and functional. 
Birch panel walls add warmth, and continue through to the lower level for continuity. 
Wash station tiles have a "lego "pattern, and were sourced from Habitat For Humanity. Marine grade hose / Ikea accessories.

A lovely classic marble bathroom. Oversize basket weave marble floor, 6" high marble baseboards, and classic oversized marble subway tiles in the shower and surround. A custom rad cover with a marble top adds a handy place for tissues extra.

Ikea Kitchen and Bellefair

The challenge in this Beaches kitchen was to update and open it up, while using the existing countertop. I chose classic soft white Ikea cabinets and a dark grey rectangular tile floor, to balance the black countertop. Classic marble 2"x4" tiles in soft greys bridge the contrast, and keep a traditional look which the client wanted. I opened up a wall next to the stove to allow more light into the room. The butcher block counter was chosen as a functional solution for this new section of the kitchen  as we didn't have any more of the original counter.
